INVESTING IN NON-PROFITS
NON-PROFIT LEADERSHIP SERIES
The COVID-19 pandemic has changed the way we do business. We didn’t ask for this. Not for sickness, not for social distancing, not for the additional stress. Not for the sudden halt of our collective lives together in our offices, or with our program participants, volunteers, donors and community. No matter whether you work in the for-profit, public service or social profit sectors, we each must respond and adapt to the changes that are occurring all around us.
“When we are no longer able to change a situation, we are challenged to change ourselves.” – Victor E. Frankl.
LWR Staff took this quote to heart when determining how we would react, respond and attempt to get ahead of the impacts COVID was having on our own organization and the local non-profit sector.
We recognized that now more than ever, we as non-profit leaders need to connect, share our resources and support one another so that there are no leaders, no services and no organizations left behind.
As a part of our response to COVID-19, Leadership Waterloo Region pooled our resources and engaged with leadership facilitators locally and around the world to offer a series of free learning sessions. Sessions targeted the “hot topics” that local non-profit leaders were facing. We called it the Non-Profit Leadership Series and any and all non-profit leaders were welcome.
Plans are to continue the free learning series, to support local non-profit leaders when the need arises. Until then, access to the session recordings are available to any non-profit who might need them.
